  • Chamber Choral Concert with Commotio

"I defy anyone to sing better than Commotio!" (Bob Chilcott, composer)

We are delighted that Commotio will return to Great Missenden on 22 April to give a concert which promises to be packed with heart-lifting choral gems.
The concert is built around Rheinberger's Cantus Missae, described as "the most beautiful pure vocal mass of the 19th century" and features Robert Pearsall's 'Lay a garland' and William Harris's 'Faire is the Heaven', two of the most popular eight-part motets in the English choral repertoire.

Commotio, founded and conducted by Matthew Berry, has established a singular reputation for performing music of the 20th and 21st centuries, and the programme also includes music by Bob Chilcott, Richard Allain, and Polish composer Pawel Łukaszewski. It promises to be a spectacular evening with a superb chamber choir.

    7.30 on Saturday 22 April.
Tickets £12 and £10 in advance from the Church office or the Commotio website.
