Chiltern Arts Week
Chiltern Arts has announced rescheduled dates for its live, socially-distanced 2021 Festival.
Taking place 21st–27th May in Great Missenden, Old Amersham, Marlow, Princes Risborough, Berkhamsted and Henley.
Artists featured include the Sacconi String Quartet, Mahan Esfahani, Clare Hammond and the City of London Sinfonia.
Tickets and further information can be found at here.
The Festival theme this year is ‘musical resonance’ – exploring how music can mean so many different things to individual listeners, or how it can tell a story or reveal an identity.
On Thursday 27th May, in St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Great Missenden, the Sacconi String Quartet open windows into composers minds as they close the festival with works written as diaries or love letters, including Dvorak’s famous American quartet and Shostakovich’s 8th String Quartet.
