Chesham Bois Burial Ground Open Day
Chesham Bois Burial Ground Open Day is on Saturday 18th September as part of the National Heritage Open Days festival, 12pm until 4pm.
The 1920s Chapel will be open for visitors & offer a quiet place for reflection and remembrance. The team will also be on hand at our information gazebo with full details of our burial record available, so that we can answer family history questions or give further details of the plots we still have available for residents and non-residents alike. Visitors can also learn about the rare flora and fauna which can be found in the Burial Ground and the rare chalk grassland next to it and enjoy our stunning views.
We are conscious that some of your congregation may already have loved ones interred in our Burial Ground or may be pre-planning their own funerals. Alternatively, they may have an interest in local history, or merely be curious about one of Chesham Bois’ hidden gems. We would love to welcome them to our Open Day and would be very grateful if you could take any opportunity to use your service sheets, contacts and social media to spread the word more widely amongst your congregation. It is an ideal opportunity to see first-hand the improvements we have made, and for those who don’t know us to learn what we can offer.
